Our Story

PragerNuform was born from three powerhouse legacy companies, Wm. Prager, Nuform Manufacturing and Accenta Display, combining over 150 years of collective expertise into a single, unstoppable force in retail manufacturing.

Our History

from a single customer to an industry leader.

Here’s how we became the trusted partner for North America’s top brands:

1938

Our business was incorporated as Wm Prager Ltd. in downtown Toronto. Our product portfolio included cardboard boxes, twine, tissue paper, metal hangers and display stands.

1949

Our showroom moved to 391 Adelaide St W. This was an ideal location, located in the heart of the Toronto garment district.

1955

To accommodate increasing demands for other products, the company expanded the product line to include Store Fixtures, Store Supplies, Mannequins, Forms and Seasonal Decoratives.

1968

We designed and created a modular, metal standalone retail merchandising system in chrome. It was manufactured in house. The product line took off and was sold en masse to Eaton’s and The Hudson’s Bay.

1970

We became the first fixtures company in Canada to start importing goods from China. We established additional offshore relationships with companies from Taiwan and Korea

1985

The trend was now to produce store fixtures offshore. This changed the whole nature of the industry. Distributors could now compete with manufacturers on price. During this period, we continued to manufacture some products at home in Canada.

1999

Wm Prager Ltd. becomes Nuform’s Manufacturing’s first customer

2018

Nuform merges with Wm Prager Ltd. and rebrands as PragerNuform uniting strengths to expand capabilities and market reach

2020

PragerNuform merges with Accenta – now offering complete store executions as the one-stop shop for brands and retailers

2025

After 87 years, we continue to innovate our product offerings while offering industry leading services and solutions.
